How can I give you an inkling of me through a website? It's a bit odd to introduce myself this way, but...here it goes:
If you can imagine meeting me at a party: I'm that girl who talks to anybody and is maybe a little louder than most. Not because I'm trying to draw attention; that is certainly not part of my personality. It's just...I've got a lot of energy. I sincerely am interested in every conversation: I love people, I love stories, and I love learning new things. If you aren't rude, belittling of others or arrogant, I will give you and your thoughts as much attention as I possibly can and provide you with an honest and respectful discussion.
In accordance with my love of story and learning, my previous careers found me teaching reading, grammar and writing and then becoming a school librarian. Before that I worked as a printer and designer of stationery at Write Impressions in Chicago, IL (now a wonderful, retired memory).
After moving to Boston in 2015, I made the leap to take up writing as my full-time job. I have since written and self-published two books, both of which can be linked to for purchase from my Books page. I am currently finishing my third book, a novel-memoir about a dear friend growing up under the rise of Hitler.
For fun, I absolutely love to cook. I actually have written a cookbook that I have yet to publish. (If you like to eat like a teenager, this cookbook is for you.) Traveling to meet people in other parts of the world with my husbsnd is another passion of mine—although the arrival of Ivy (our Irish wolfhound) has drastically altered the frequency of that happening. But we love her to pieces, so we will enjoy her while we can!
